Custom lotion boxes are printed cartons for body lotion, hand cream, moisturiser and body butter, produced for pump bottles, tubes, jars and squeeze bottles. We size them to the assembled container, specify the base for filled weight, and lay out panels around your ingredient declaration. Orders start at 200 units.

Lotion is the heaviest, highest-volume category in personal care, which changes the packaging maths. A 16oz pump bottle is not a serum bottle, the base flaps have real load on them, and the net contents statement on a larger carton needs a larger type size than most designers assume.

Bigger Package, Bigger Required Type

A detail that surprises people: the minimum type size for your net quantity statement scales with the size of your principal display panel.

Lotion cartons are often large enough to land in the 25 to 100 square inch band, which means a noticeably bigger net contents statement than the same brand uses on a serum box. Designers working from a small-format template routinely under-size it.

Ingredient declarations separately need a minimum type height of 1/16 inch on most packages, and warning statements the same. Tell us your PDP dimensions and ingredient list length at quote stage and we’ll flag anything that won’t fit legibly before you’re at proof.

Weight Changes the Structure

A filled 8oz to 16oz lotion bottle is one of the heavier things a cosmetic carton holds.

• Auto-lock bottom, not plain tuck end. A tucked base will eventually fail under a filled bottle handled repeatedly in retail. The locking base is the right default above roughly half a pound.
• Measure with the pump and overcap fitted. Pump height is the dimension most often left off a spec sheet, and it’s the one that stops the carton closing.
• Pump lock-down varies by design. If yours can depress in transit, allow clearance at the top.
• Tubes measure differently to bottles. A tube’s height includes the crimped end seal, and its thickness varies between full and part-used. Measure a filled tube as it ships.

Cartons for Multi-Size Ranges

Lotion brands typically sell the same formula in several sizes: a travel size, a standard, and a value size. Each needs its own carton, which multiplies print setups fast.

Two ways to control that:

• Common artwork across sizes keeps design costs down even where each size needs its own dieline and print run.
• Labels or sleeves for scent or variant, over a size-specific printed carton. This is the answer for brands carrying one formula in six fragrances across three sizes, where fully printing every combination would mean eighteen separate cartons.

How Your Order Is Produced

1. Send your requirements. Assembled container dimensions with pump and cap fitted, filled weight, PDP dimensions if you have a design, quantity, stock, and ingredient list length.
2. Receive your quote and dieline. Base specified for filled weight, panels sized for your copy.
3. Place artwork and approve the proof. We check bleed, colour mode, resolution, fold lines, and whether net contents and ingredient type meet minimum sizes.
4. Request a physical sample (optional). Order within 30 days and the cost is credited back. Put a filled bottle in it and pick it up, since base strength is only testable with weight inside.
5. Production. Printing, lamination, die-cutting, finishing and gluing.
6. Quality check and dispatch.

Standard production runs 8 to 12 days after proof approval, plus transit.
